Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to all apps, plugins, websites, services, and other products published by Nonotami, unless a specific product explicitly provides its own Privacy Policy. Where a product-specific policy exists, that policy supplements or replaces this one for that particular product.
Core Principles
At Nonotami, I follow three principles.
- Your data is yours: Whenever possible, data remains on your device and is processed there. I do not build products around collecting, profiling, tracking, selling, renting, or monetizing user data.
- No subscriptions, annoying ads, or hidden fees: I am tired of subscriptions, hidden upgrades, and endless recurring payments. Unless clearly stated otherwise, Nonotami products are either free, supported by limited advertising, or sold through a one-time purchase.
- Build what I would actually use: Every product exists because I or someone close to me needed it. I do not build features simply because everyone else has them. I build things that solve real problems in a way that I personally find useful.
Data Collection
Most Nonotami products are designed to operate locally on your device.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, information you create, enter, store, or manage within a product remains under your control and on your device.
I do not intentionally collect personal information unless it is necessary to:
-
provide a specific feature,
-
respond to a message you send,
-
operate a service you choose to use,
-
comply with legal obligations,
-
or maintain the functionality and security of a product.
If a product stores information locally, that information generally remains protected by your device’s operating system and security mechanisms.
Third-Party Services
Some features may rely on third-party services such as mapping providers, weather services, geocoding services, app stores, operating-system integrations, AI providers, payment processors, hosting providers, or similar infrastructure.
When a product interacts with a third-party service, information may be processed according to that provider’s own policies and practices. While I try to select providers carefully, I do not control their systems and cannot guarantee how they handle information.
If a feature depends on a third-party provider, that dependency will generally be documented within the product, on its respective page, or in its store listing.
AI Services
Some current or future products may include AI-powered features.
When AI functionality is present, product-specific documentation will explain whether processing occurs:
-
locally on your device,
-
through Nonotami-operated infrastructure,
-
or through a third-party provider.
Where third-party AI services are used, their own privacy and processing practices may apply.
Device Permissions
Some products require device permissions in order to function properly.
Examples may include:
-
location access,
-
camera access,
-
microphone access,
-
notifications,
-
health-related integrations,
-
storage access,
-
contacts access,
-
calendar access.
Permissions are requested only when needed for a feature and can usually be managed through your device settings.
Where practical, permission usage is documented within the product or on its information page.
User Content and Responsibility
Many Nonotami products allow you to create, import, export, process, store, or share content.
You remain responsible for the material you choose to use, upload, distribute, or publish through the products.
Please respect applicable copyright, trademark, licensing, privacy, and other ownership rights.
Communications
If you choose to contact me, I may receive information that you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, device information, screenshots, bug reports, or other details included in your message.
I use such information only for communication, support, troubleshooting, or responding to your request.
I do not maintain marketing profiles, sell contact information, or build advertising databases from communications.
Technical Logs and Platform Data
Modern devices, app stores, hosting providers, operating systems, and internet services may automatically generate technical information such as:
-
crash reports,
-
diagnostic data,
-
network logs,
-
delivery records,
-
installation statistics,
-
security logs,
-
platform-generated metadata.
Some of this information may be outside my direct control.
I do not intentionally use such information to build user profiles, track individuals, or monetize user behavior.
Data Retention
Information stored locally generally remains on your device until you remove it, export it, delete it, or uninstall the product.
Information voluntarily provided through support requests or communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to address the matter, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect products and information under my control.
However, no software, device, network, or service can guarantee absolute security. You remain responsible for maintaining backups, protecting your devices, and securing your accounts where applicable.
Children
I try to be especially careful when products may be used by children.
If you believe that a product is collecting information from a child in a way that should not happen, please contact me immediately and I will investigate the matter as quickly as possible.
Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or other controls over personal information.
If you wish to exercise such rights regarding information under my control, please contact me.
Changes
I do not expect the principles described in this policy to change significantly.
However, products evolve, laws change, and sometimes documentation must be updated. When changes are made, the updated version will be published with a revised date.
